JAKARTA - In addition to Fuel Economic meresmian Formula today (01.20.2012), PT Shell

Indonesia also gives good tips on driving a vehicle that is not wasteful of fuel. Although fuel at Shell claimed to improve mileage, how to drive properly is also a major factor in fuel thrifty.

Here is a good driving tips from Shell Indonesia to fuel-efficient vehicle.

A. Check your tire pressure regularly. Ban was the only component on the vehicle in direct contact with the road surface. If tire pressure is too low then the friction between the tires with asphalt will be very large so as to increase the fuel consumption in vehicles.

2. If you want to travel make sure the gas pressure is slowly beginning. If you press the gas pedal too in the burning fuel even greater

3. Define or plan a route. This method is quite effective because you can avoid any potential road traffic and making unnecessary detours

4. Most of the vehicles designed to travel with the most economical speed of approximately 80 kph. Therefore maintain this pace despite being on the road with a speed limit is exceeded

5. Fill the fuel tank full. This is to prevent rust on the tank. If the tank is exposed to corrosion, the quality of fuel will be reduced or dirty

6. Reduce unnecessary baggage. This is to avoid overloading which causes the engine to work harder and result in waste

7. Turn off Air Conditioner (AC) in conditions that do not need. The use of air conditioning will improve the performance of the engine, if the use of continuous fuel will result in waste

8. Close the windows and sunroof meeting to reduce wind resistance

9. Turn off the engine when stopped to wait for more than 5 minutes. This avoids the use of fuel wasted and can increase engine wear.

10. For users manual transmission car, get used to shift or move the teeth at the appropriate rpm (normally 2800 rpm to 3200 rpm)

11. Replace brake fluid every two years. This is to ensure optimum braking

12. Regular servicing of your vehicle to keep it in top condition.
